About Caralyn: Welcome! If you've landed on this page, then you must be wondering who I am and what I'm about. You already know a lot about what I think and believe from the "Home for Wellness" page. Let me add just a little bit more...
I have spent the last twenty years in focused growth and professional work as a teacher, mentor, coach, and human being. I have known my entire life that we all have a purpose and our greatest endeavor is our quest for happiness and connection. The credentials that follow me say that I have a Masters of Arts degree in Teaching and Learning. Another credential says that I am an Ordained Minister in the Universal Life Church. And I even have more papers that demonstrate my certification as a Level II Reiki Practitioner. I've worked for the last twenty years as a master teacher; mentoring people in their careers, teaching young people and supporting parents. I've worked for the last five years as a Reiki practitioner. Currently, I facilitate an expressive arts therapy group at Teen Recovery Center in Chula Vista, I work as a consultant at a K-8 school site coaching and mentoring teachers, and I work for various local businesses faciltating staff retreats. Of course, I have this practice as well, offering workshops, mini-retreats, individual coaching and reiki sessions and more. I especially love the power of story in transforming our lives and deeply believe that creative expression in all its forms are critical to our well-being. Having said all that, I am just not sure that all those "qualifications/experiences" tell you much.
I think what might mean a lot more to you is that I have walked this path and I have learned a tremendous amount along the way. I have worked with energy healers, coaches, spiritual counselors, and shamans. I have experienced great success in transforming my life and am passionate about being of service. I have lived a turbulent and sometimes painful life (as we all do) but KNOW that everything that has ever happened has held a gift for me AND that I get to choose the degree to which my life is painful (have some fun with this one!). I am truly better for having had all of those experiences! I have personally struggled with depression, anxiety, addictive behaviors and more AND have come out the other side again, better for those experiences! I care deeply about people and have made it my mission to be of service; to share the tools and gifts that have been given to me along the way.

I am very proud of my volunteer work at San Diego Hospice and Palliative Care. I work as a volunteer with terminally ill patients. I offer energy healing to provide comfort and to help in their passing. It is powerful work that has taught me about what it means to be human and the amazing love that surrounds every single one of us. I am sure that there is a lot more that I could say but you will really know by how this website feels to you whether or not working with me would be right for you. I am more than willing to answer any questions that you may have about me, my qualifications, or my experiences. Don't hesistate to contact me should you require any other information. Thank you!
